It was here that she learned that the goal of the Child Welfare System is to provide safety and permanency to the most vulnerable children in our communities. It was also where she developed a passion for helping children and families overcome difficult and sensitive situations by providing the appropriate resources.
After leaving the Law Department in 2007, Claire launched a successful solo practice combining her skills as a trial attorney with her ability to provide an individualized and compassionate approach to children and parents. In this role, she represented thousands of clients in all areas of Family Law including: child abuse and neglect, dependency cases, truancy, child custody & support, adoptions, domestic violence, protection orders, divorce, relocation, post and prenuptial agreements, and appellate work.
Claire has been a lecturer and presenter on a wide variety of topics in Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars for other attorneys and for various legal organizations.
